In 2008, then-15-year-old Daniel Brusilovsky started Teens in Tech Labs with financial assistance from his parents. Now, his Mountain View company is entirely backed by a group of corporate sponsors that includes Microsoft and General Motors.
When asked why he founded Teens in Tech Labs, Brusilovsky says he wished to help young entrepreneurs who had great ideas but didn’t know how to execute them. He wanted to provide a platform where they could get the tools, resources, and support they needed.
Last year, Brusilovsky launched the eight-week Teens in Tech Incubator program, in which 15 teenagers from 6 companies participated. Teens inTech Labs also manages a social network for young entrepreneurs and has held five conferences to date.
According to Brusilovsky, his mind is always on his business, even when he’s in class at the College of San Mateo. He plans to take the conference and incubator to other cities in the future.
