An accomplished healthcare sector executive with nearly three decades of professional experience, Ellen Scharaga currently serves as Senior Vice President of Oncology Pharmacy Services for OncoMed Pharmaceutical Services, a highly regarded treatment facility located in Great Neck, New York. Stepping into her present leadership role in October 2009, Ms. Scharaga maintains a wide range of responsibilities within OncoMed’s dispensary and pharmacy call center, mining her extensive background in administrative supervision to ensure best practice implementation of company policies and procedures on a consistent and continuing basis. Aside from managing patient medication disbursements and vendor relations, Ellen Scharaga devotes a considerable amount of time and energy toward bolstering the effectiveness and profitability of OncoMed’s business model. Ellen Scharaga received her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from St. John’s University in 1982. Additionally certified as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York, Ms. Scharaga is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, the Pharmaceutical Society of New York, and the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association. Active in the philanthropic arena, she supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.
