Kathryn Parsons’ Company Turns People Into Coders in Just One Day

In 2011, Kathryn Parsons co-founded Decoded to teach people how to code in just one day. The company currently has offices in London, New York, and Singapore, and its course offerings include Code in a Day, Social Data in a Day, Data Visualization in a Day, and CodeED in a Day.

The Decoded experience, which begins at £750 per person, involves teaching methods that support the maximum retention of new skills and knowledge. Classes are kept small so no student is left behind. Even the learning environment has been carefully designed to keep students engaged and energized. Additionally, Decoded provides “dedicated alumni aftercare resources” to help graduates continue on their journey after the workshops have ended.

Parsons recently received the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award and was named one of Business Insider’s “30 Most Important Women Under 30 in Tech.” Last year, she won the UK Startup Entrepreneur of the Year and Digital Business of the Year honors at Red Magazine’s Hot Women Awards.
