Veneka Chagwedera: Leading a Snack Food Company With a Social Mission

Veneka Chagwedera is the co-founder and CEO of Nouri, a snack food company that makes organic, artisan energy bars with a social mission. For every bar purchased, Nouri provides a hot, healthy meal to a child in need. Inspired by a love for delicious and nutritious snack food, Nouri uses only high-quality produce grown by small-scale farmers in the US. Nouri bars are organic, non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free.

Passionate about natural food and having witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education, Chagwedera co-founded Nouri to be a force for good in the world of snack foods. She was also inspired by her previous work with children in developing nations. She hopes that five years from now, Nouri will have provided meals to more than 10 million children worldwide and empowered them to pursue an education. Chagwedera studied international policy at Princeton University, as well as entrepreneurship, innovation, and marketing at the Darden Business School.
