As a personal trainer, Estelle Underwood has seen how many of her clients led extremely busy lives. It seemed that everyone struggled to maintain a fitness routine at home and on the road, and she recognized the need for a product that was simple, affordable, and accessible to those who can’t accomplish full training sessions on a regularly basis. Hence, Underwood created BodyWorksBand, a resistance band with a full-body workout printed on the product itself for fitness on the go.
BodyWorksBand is an exercise tool that works all the major muscle groups, builds strength, improves bone density, and facilitates weight-bearing exercises and stretches. It is a total body workout, personal trainer, and traveling gym all in one lightweight package that costs only $15. Anybody can use BodyWorksBand anytime, anywhere – from the busy single mom at home who has no time to go to the gym, to the working professional at the office who wants to maximize their breaks, to the frequent traveler on the road who doesn’t have access to a workout facility.
Underwood has more than 25 years of experience working with clients and developing personalized exercises to improve and maintain joint and spinal health, as well as increase strength, flexibility, and bone density. She is the owner of Bodyworks for Total Health, a Southern California fitness studio she opened in 1989. A gymnast during her high school and college years, Underwood has always had a passion for health and exercise. She is a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer/Fitness Counselor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
Prior to starting her career in the fitness industry, Underwood taught in the field of bilingual education for six years. Underwood received her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from California State University and obtained her teaching credential at the University of California, Irvine.
