Danielle Shea Tan is the busy mama and nutrition and lifestyle coach behind Healthy Mamas for Happy Families, a Boston-based consultancy dedicated to helping busy parents raise healthy, happy families. Tan’s personal health journey began at age 9, when she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes despite being the thinnest person in the family. With the help of a nutritionist, she learned how to eat a balanced meal and manage her sugar levels.
By the time she was in her mid-twenties, Tan had healed herself of pre-diabetes by making changes in her diet. However, she found herself overweight and not happy in her own skin. When a stranger called her “husky,” she decided it was time to take full control of her health. As a management consultant who worked long days and traveled frequently, Tan faced a huge challenge: no time. But she made good use of the little time she had, researching about nutrition, fitness, digestion, and the like. After much trial and error, she finally figured out how to be both busy and healthy, losing 25 pounds in the process.
Tan founded Healthy Mamas for Happy Families in 2012. Her services include private coaching, group coaching, interactive workshops, and corporate wellness.
