Luke Holden was appalled that the seafood rolls being offered in his neighborhood was nowhere near the deliciousness of the seafood rolls from his childhood. He then proceeded to launch Luke’s Lobster in October 2009 to offer consumers the best crab, shrimp and lobster roll this side of the United States. Today, he is the company’s current president as well as the co-founder and managing partner of Cape Seafood LLC, a company that supplies his restaurants’ seafood needs.
Aside from the dearth of delicious seafood rolls, Holden was also inspired to establish his restaurant chain after experiencing job insecurity. He was previously an investment banker, a work that utilized his degree in Bachelor of Science Accounting and Finance from Georgetown University’s The McDonough School of Business. Due to the job insecurity and stress, he returned to his first love – fishing for a wide range of seafood, which he learned from his father and grandfather.
Today, Luke’s Lobster has several casual seafood venues with a menu dominated by lobster, crab and shrimp rolls.
